Safeguarding & Welfare
The welfare, safety, and wellbeing of every swimmer at Selby Tiger Sharks is our top priority. As an affiliated club, we fully follow Swim England’s Wavepower safeguarding policy, ensuring all activities take place in a safe, positive, and inclusive environment. Our coaches, volunteers, and welfare officers are trained and vetted to protect and support all members.
We encourage open communication, and swimmers or parents can raise any concerns directly with our Welfare Officer or a member of the coaching team. Clear procedures are in place to respond quickly and appropriately to any safeguarding issues, ensuring respect, dignity, and wellbeing are maintained for everyone in the club, both in and out of the pool.
